Little Talks

Well, I turned 21 recently and I got a surprise party. I've seen how these things go from watching way too much tv. First, the guests all gather and keep quiet in one room. All of this is happening while the celebrant is away and hasn't even a hint of an idea about the surprise. When the guests then hear the celebrant is almost there, they turn off the lights and hide behind the furniture. Then, the celebrant opens the door, flicks on the light switch, and "SURPRISE".

I have to admit, I had no idea about the surprise at all. I was completely shocked and literally had no words. It felt weird being on the receiving end of it all. I had a moment, actually. I had a good look on everyone's faces and took a mental picture. I wish someone told me about it, I could've practiced giving a surprised face instead of just merely standing there. Anyway, I'm so thankful to have the people who are closest to me there. It was a grand night. Family + high school friends + college friends + good food + cake. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect way to spend 21 years of life.

On The Radar

Here's a great mix of good indie music. I suggest you listen to it accordingly, from top to bottom, left to right. The music just falls perfectly with each other that way. Enjoy the music.

Global Mala Project Manila

The Global Mala Project Manila was held last September 1, 2012 and it was a great day to dedicate to all things yoga. The event was held at Rockwell Tent and led by Teresa Herrera. All proceeds go to Trees for the Future and Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park. There were all sorts of yoga classes during the day but we only attended the 108 Namaskars, Ashtanga led by Rebecca De Villa, Drum Jam, and Yoga for Athletes. I wish I could've stayed until the end but I didn't want to push my body any further. My arms were already killing me from those chaturangas. The day after was worse. Every limb of my body was sore. Oh, the things I do for the love of yoga. This was a totally new and great experience for me, especially when you've got good company. I've been dreaming to go to Wanderlust and I guess this is half a step to experiencing that.
